Inca trail to Machu Picchu: Machu Picchu

The 5th/last day of Salkantay Inca trail :
Machu Picchu, Peru

Probably, this place is the most turistic place ever in my life. We woke up at 4:30 am, left hotel at 5 am. But there were already a long line for the bus. After having waited about half an hour, we took a bus to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes. Once arrived in Machu Picchu around 6am, it was already litterally crowded.

But, of course, Machu Picchu was such a mysterious and amazing place. It was worth to visit.

Strangely, even if there are so many studies on this site, mostly they stay uncertain yet:

– the use of many buildings/area (many books says totally the different stories on one place
– why Machu Picchu was abandonned

There are many theories. No one know exactly yet. I think that it’s more interesting to imagine by oneself on those.

But there are also things very clear : Inca people were wonderful at stonework. They knew very well about the astrology and the earthquake resistant construction.
