That song for that memory

R.E.M.’s nightswimming reminds me of a memory on my last new year’s day in the 20th century. To celebrate New year’s day, we went nightswimming in the sea. The Pacific ocean was fierce and I was fiercely in love. We let ourselves be swept out to sea in the darkness. The fizz of fireworks exploding was all around from the distance. That is my nightswimming story.
