브라질에서의 3주, 건축도 풍경도 멋있었지만 가장 인상적인 것인 삶을 즐길 줄 아는 여유를 가진 브라질 사람들이었다. 브라질에 세상에 태어나서 처음해본것들이 참으로 많았다. 세상에서 태어나 본 가장 큰 나뭇잎, 처음 먹어본 과일들 야채들…신기한 것들이 참 많았다. 가능성이 많아 보이는 나라, 브라질..상상을 초월하게 극심한 빈부격차가 브라질의 가장 큰 고민거리이며 해결 과제일 것 같다.

During 3 weeks in Brazil, I saw beautiful architectures and landscapes. But what touched me the most were Brazilians who know ‘savoir vivre’ (how to live or how to enjoy living). There were many new experiences for me ; fruits and vegetables that I saw/tasted for the 1st time, the biggest leaf that I’ve ever seen…
I hope that this country with big pontentialities will narrow the gap between rich and poor.

Corcovado & Pao de Azucar

코르코바도 산위에 있는 리오데자이네로의 상징같은 예수님상
그리고 리우데자이루 주변의 해안의 절경을 감상할 수 있는 빵데아쑤까르(설탕빵)
관광객만 득실거릴게 두려워 차일피일 미루다 리오를 떠나기 전날 방문했다.
예수님상에선 과연 득실거리는 관광객에 치여 씁쓸하게 내려오고,
빵데아쑤까르는 별 기대없이 갔는데 해지는 즈음이라 노을로 붉게 물든
아름다운 리오시의 전경을 목격하고는..역시 유명한 데는 나름 이유가 있구나.

The most touristic visit in Rio de Janeiro:
- O Cristo Redentor (statue of Jesus Christ) in the Corcovado mountain
- Pao de Azucar (Sugarloaf) by cable car

I knew that it would be so touristc. Indeed, being around the statue Cristo was tiresome. People just push you to take a better place to be photographed. So rude. I hated it. But at Pao de Azucar, there were not so many people. It was a sunset. So beautiful.
I should say that very touristic places have the reason for that.

If you visit these two places, you understand why Rio de Janeiro is so famous : its unique sculptural geography and its curves!
