Lille Grand Palais in Lille, France
Designed by Rem KOOLHAAS (OMA) in 1994

Lille Grand Palais has three programs : Zenith, a 5,000-seat concert hall; Congress, a conference centre with three major auditoriums; and Expo, a 20,000m2 exposition hall.

From outside, it looks old and ruined. This is a typical building that non-architect might hate at first sight, and I can fully understand. But once being inside, one can feel a simple and wild power of OMA design.
